The Quest is to incorporate and promote chivalric activities as part of your essence of being.
We aspire to emulate all that was and is good and true in the age of chivalry. The journey and how you approach it is completely your own. Indeed, it can only be thus. What is offered in the Quest is a methodology or analytical framework that can be utilized in many different ways.
The first achievement in the nnDnn quest methodology is the understanding of the different relationships between our existence and the Trinity.
The second achievement is understanding the human essence of being while incarnate. This is most important as nnDnn adopts these elements or spheres as the structure for the completion of the quest.
The third achievement is to learn the personas of the archetypes. nnDnn adopts the four musketeers from the works of Dumas, and Saint Joan d'Arc as the archetypes. Here you will develop an understanding of how the different archetypes illustrate chivalric behavior and you will be able to understand their perspective.
The fourth achievement is to actively control the self and apply what you have achieved in how you interact with the various elements of your human existence.
The Obligations of Chivalry As practitioners of chivalry we must obligate ourselves to maintain a higher standard of conduct while engaged in the interactions incident to human life while incarnate. While we could come up with a pithy oath to align ourselves with our higher purposes, we decided that the Lord's prayer communicates everything necessary for our purposes. Make it a point to interrupt your daily activities to pause, pray, and give thanks.
How does one "become" a modern Knight Templar? As noted earlier nnDnn is not in the business of creating knights. It is the position of nnDnn that knighthood can only be properly bestowed by the Holy Trinity or their designate. Such knighthoods are performed with the sword dubbing the heart and not the shoulders or head. We expect that the people who are interested in this site have already experienced this phenomenon.
The two issues are knighthood and knighthood in the Order of the Temple. On the first issue of knighthood we have just spoken. But as to the issue of membership in an organization that defiantly existed at one time and may even exist today we must look not to the physical presence but to the purpose of the Order. The well agreed upon purpose of the Knights Templar was to safeguard pilgrims traveling to Jerusalem. An individual who aligns themselves with this purpose is justified in our eyes at least, as being worth of the Templar nomenclature. This site is more about chivalry than the Knights Templar.

The six elements of the total essence of being.
Just as in the mundane world things need a power source to operate, we require a connection to spiritual power in order to carry out our intellectual designs. Unlike our standardized power outlets, each of the spiritual outlets provides different types of power which are accessed in different ways. Humans are primarily a universal energy coupling device or masters of energy. Admittedly this is an ethereal concept and lacks empirical documentation. But, here we take the position that our bodies are made in the image of Deity and that it necessarily follows that within our incarnate being are functions powered by the Trinity.
Again, we need only look to the mundane world to recognize the genetic strengths and weaknesses passed on from generation to generation. A strength in mathematics in a parent may equate to a strength in mathematics in the child. Even slight nuances have been silently communicated through generations of genetics. We are our parent's children. Just as we see ourselves in our parents we should also see ourselves in the Holy Trinity in Unity and vice versa.
It is this two-way ever repeating relationship that allows us access to understanding ourselves and our capabilities.

There are many ways to divide the human essence of being. Many follow in traditions found in different schools of thought. If we were proposing a model for those seeking spiritual enlightenment, then we would discuss the Total Essence in a more complete form. However, this quest is only designed to introduce chivalric behavior, a modern Knight Temparism, into every day life experiences. For our purposes we focus on the Human Essence of Being while incarnate as having seven aspects, spheres, or realms of influence.

In the next section we will consider our operative definitions of the various aspects of our division of the human essence of being while incarnate. We will develop our Process for the implementation and achievement of our quest goals.
